Coking impedes heat transfer, reduces boiler thermal efficiency, increases fuel consumption, and can damage boiler components, thereby affecting normal operation. Many people are unsure how to handle coking when it occurs, so below we\u2019ll share some simple solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Step 1: Shut down the boiler, allow it to cool, and ensure safety precautions are in place. Upon discovering coking, immediately shut down the boiler and cut off the fuel supply, allowing the boiler to cool and depressurize naturally. It is strictly prohibited to address coking while the boiler is under high temperature or high pressure to avoid safety hazards such as burns and equipment damage. At the same time, wear appropriate protective gear (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) to ensure operational safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Step 2: Assess the severity of the coking and address it accordingly.
